Nominate your game-changer to win donation from Scotiabank

publication date: Sep 4, 2012
It's not too late to get in the game. Scotiabank Game Changers has been recognizing the achievements of community heroes in Canadian Football League Cities since its football season began in July. But there are nearly 25 prizes of $1,000 still to be won by community nonprofits, as well as the $100,000 award for the nonprofit chosen by the top Game Changer.

At the end of the regular season, eight of the 72 Regional Game Changers will win a VIP trip to the 100th Grey Cup in Toronto. Of those finalists, one will be selected as the National Scotiabank Game Changer. At the Grey Cup game, that person will accept a $100,000 donation to the nonprofit of their choice. CFL fans can nominate and vote for Scotiabank Game Changers to help choose the initiative that will receive $100,000.

"Scotiabank Game Changers honours community heroes as they ‘change the game' in their local communities," said Anatol von Hahn, Group Head, Canadian Banking. "It recognizes the commitment and passion of everyday people doing extraordinary things that make a positive impact in their community."

Candidates must demonstrate leadership and community involvement within one of the six "Scotiabank Bright Future Philanthropic Pillars": health, education, social services, arts, sports and environment. Judging criteria for Game Changer selection is based on leadership, challenge and impact.
